Teresa Luengo Cid has worked for the King County Library System since 2009. She manages several system-wide programs in Spanish for the Latino population including two official adult basic education programs: Plaza Comunitaria and HS21+ (primary, secondary and high school completion for adults), Early Literacy series of workshops for school readiness, and family reading clubs. In the past, Teresa offered Literacy workshop presentations for Latino parents. She has recently self-published her first bilingual children’s book, The Peculiar and Original Belinda and is part of Seattle Escribe, a Spanish-language writers’ group.
