Raised in Fort Worth, Texas, Tiffany Jasmin González is a Ph.D. candidate in the History Department at Texas A&M University - College Station. Her dissertation, “Representation for a Change: Women in Government and the Chicana/o Civil Rights Movement in Texas,” examines a movement for more Latinas to work in government and run for public office, and the impact the women made to American politics since the 1970s. The American Association of University Women has awarded Tiffany with a fellowship to finish writing her study in the 2019-20 academic year.
