Geovani Ramírez is a PhD candidate and teaching fellow in the Department of English and Comparative Literature at UNC-Chapel Hill, where he specializes in Multiethnic and Latinx literature. His dissertation explores the ways Mexican-heritage women writers use the topic of labor in their works to mobilize issues surrounding class, race, gender, culture, (trans)national identities, and citizenship. He is currently the graduate assistant for the UNC Latina/o Studies Program.
