Lucia Lopez is a junior at Wellesley College majoring in Media Arts & Sciences. She is Puerto Rican and Spanish American and remains closely connected to both cultures despite having grown up in Western Massachusetts. Her work often explores the intersection between culture, identity, and media, and she wrote the original version of this paper for the “Bad Bunny: Race, Gender, and Empire in Reggaeton” seminar at Wellesley. In her free time, she enjoys exploring creative projects that combine art, technology, and the internet. She hopes to continue examining how media shapes cultural narratives and personal identity.
